This web site is a showcase of both course and freelance work in various disciplines; including web design/development and multimedia design/development and print. Daniel Sweeney is student studying New Media and Communication at the University of Leeds, UK. This course is designed for students who want to work in the new media industry, who want to design, build or manage the interactive products of the future, and who are passionate about the web and new technologies.

Taught within the Institute of Communications Studies Daniel Sweeney receives a multidisciplinary, 360 degree vision of new media, where design and coding skills are taught in parallel with skills in strategic management and communications theory.

Daniel Sweeney has completed two years of his four year course and is currently in his third year, which is an industrial placement year. Once he has completed his placement year Daniel will return to Leeds University and complete his final year which will involve the design and production of a major project from start to finish.

Before Daniel Sweeney attended Leeds University, he attended South Trafford College. Daniel was here for two years where he studied AVCE Information Technology and A Level Business Studies. Daniel attained three B grades, two of which were IT grades and the other the business studies grade. It was from here that Daniel decided that he wanted to carry on his interest in IT in the web development area. As said before, from here Daniel went straight onto University. Whilst away from academic studies and work life he is a keen footballer and football fan. Daniel has played football for a number of years, currently playing for a 5-a-side and a local 11-a-side team, both playing once a week. Daniel is a Manchester United fan and was a ballboy there for the season 2000-2001. As well as football he also likes many other sports such as boxing, rugby and cricket.
